After Sandip finished his workshop with the band the first thing they asked me was "When he is coming back?" In his workshop Sandip works up close and personal with students and brings them into the world of Indian classical music with ideas and techniques that are familiar to them. Sandip also asked if I would be interested in participating in other workshops he was giving at schools around the area. I jumped at the opportunity. When he asked if I would like to learn a little more about the sitar I was even more excited. It is rare that you find an artist of international acclaim that is so giving of his time, his instrument and his love of music. The experience was one that my students or I will not soon forget. /Users/stevezielinski/Desktop/510070_1.jpg

My
students thoroughly enjoyed their time spent with Sandip. We were provided
with an interesting history of Indian music and heard amazing sitar and
tabla performances. He was very willing to answer questions and was
friendly with the students.

The band was certainly touched by your presentation this morning. The students once again were really excited about you music. It was
the rage of the school conversations in the day.

Thank you so much.
